AlcoBloc™ vs. Competition – NONE!

There is no competition for this innovative technology

The current technology to assist in the prevention of drunk driving, is called a Breath Alcohol Ignition Interlock device, Interlock or BAIIRD, which is court mandated AFTER an individual has been cited for drunk driving and has had at least one or more DUI, usually this DUI will have caused a car accident. But not everyone is always caught and even when they are, the Court system doesn’t always require these devices be installed.

Disadvantages of Ignition Interlock Devices:

  • These car breathalyzers are hard wired into the vehicle, making it hard for others using the same vehicle. Only one vehicle is blocked and able to take this breathalyzer test.

  • They require very costly monthly maintenance & calibrations at the designated service provider that is not always at a convenient location.

  • Lack of real time proof of ID of who is actually driving is rarely provided with these systems.

Advantages & Benefits of
The AlcoBloc™ Security Device
The device is powered by a custom Smart Phone app that syncs a portable, precise breath tester with a robust padlock via Bluetooth. Once the padlock is secured to the object to be safeguarded, the padlock will only open if a negative breath test is provided. AlcoBloc™ was designed to be:
  • Flexible – Can be attached on any heavy equipment, vehicle, storage cabinets, etc. The device is not hard wired into a particular vehicle’s ignition like current interlock devices which limit access. AlcoBloc™ can be easily removed and placed on any item, any time.

  • Economical – There is no need to have it calibrated and checked every month at the original installation site. The Kit is self-owned, YOU own the equipment, not a third party. Plus there are no extra equipment fees or maintenance costs. It pays for itself in no time.

  • Reliable –. Once Subject initiates breath test, the custom App captures test data and takes photo ID from their phone or tablet. All data, including GPS, is sent to the AlcoBloc™ Data Server where all information can be reviewed and stored.

Recently, the US Senate proposed that in their $1TN infrastructure bill that some type of alcohol monitor be placed in ALL new cars to help prevent drunk driving.

While the specifics have not been confirmed, this pending 2,700-page bill includes a mandate for new auto safety standards, mandating that some type of alcohol detection system be placed in all new cars by 2027. AlcoBloc™ could be THAT solution.

  • Complete System – To support the Administrator/Account Supervisor, AlcoBloc™ Security Device provides a secure Data Server where Administrator has access to all data of tests taken. Data Server can be configured so individual test data can be emailed after each breath test attempt. Option for report generation is also available.
