Parent or guardian simply places the AlcoBloc™ padlock on the item. When access is needed, then the individual needing access will simply open the previously downloaded AlcoBloc™ smartphone app, and blow into the AlcoBloc™ portable tester. The padlock will then open if a negative breath tester reading was provided. If alcohol is detected in the system, then the lock will remain closed. Because the app takes a 'selfie' of the individual trying to gain access, their photo and test information will be sent to the parent/guardian.
